38 (And 37 Week) Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.

How far along:  38 weeks 1 day
Gender:  Boy!
Weight Gain:  +40 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Getting small.  Basically living in Dave's shirts, yoga pants, and Dave's basketball shorts.  No need to go anywhere that I need to dress up AND if I do...then a dress it is!
Stretch Marks:  I have a few new tiny ones.  They are a little less than an inch and part of old ones and my belly button where I used to have it pierced is stretching out and hurts pretty bad.
Sleep:  Something that never happened with G - his head is so lodged in my pelvis that flipping over at night hurts really really bad.  If I want to flip over in bed then I have to sit up first...and if I sit up then I have to go to the bathroom.  Definitely sleeping less and less every night.
Best moment of the week:  Non-pregnancy related...we had Gretchen's 2nd birthday party today!  She had a blast.  I can't believe how big she is.
Miss Anything:  Being able to lay on my belly and being able to easily stand up from sitting down.
Movement:  Definitely.  He for sure already has a sleep/wake schedule.  His moving is really big stretches.  I can tell he is long too because depending how I am sitting I always feel his feet up in my ribs and I know his head is super low.
Cravings:  Caramel popcorn.
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Yes!  Another thing that didn't happen in my first pregnancy...I have definitely been nauseous.
Looking forward to:  All of our big events (baby shower & birthday party) are over...the house is super duper clean and organized which means all I have to do until baby gets here is RELAX!  BUT because that is all I have left...I'm sure I will go into labor right after I post this lol.

36 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  36 Weeks 2 Days
Gender:  Boy!
Weight Gain:  +37 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Yes!  I can't wait to be able to fit in my old clothes again.  It seriously seems like forever since I have been able to wear them and even looking at them makes me wonder how I ever fit into them lol.
Stretch Marks:  My current ones look like they are getting more red, but sometimes they still look white.  Not sure what is going on.  I have a tiny one where my belly button was pierced.  Wondering if I will get anymore this time...I still have a month left though so probably.
Sleep:  It has sucked.  I am having a harder and harder time rolling over and I am at a point where every time I wake up I have the internal debate of whether or not I should get up to pee or try to hold it for longer because getting up would take too much energy.
Best moment of the week:  Had a baby sprinkle this morning!  It was so much fun!!
Miss Anything:  Not having heartburn every second of the day.  Definitely managing it better though this pregnancy.  I know I need to take a heartburn pill around 3 every day.  Hahaha.
Movement:  Getting more painful as things get more cramped.  I definitely think he is starting to have a sleep/wake schedule.  Debating if I should try to change my schedule and get up in the middle of the night to put him to sleep haha...he seems most active at 3am...can't wait to see what fun that will bring.
Cravings:  Wonton soup!!!
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Nope.
Looking forward to:  Relaxing these next couple of weeks now that I FINALLY have all of my deep cleaning done :D

35 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  35 weeks 4 days
Gender:  Boy!
Weight Gain:  +36 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Funny thing about maternity clothes...they only fit the first 8 months of pregnancy.  Lol.  Spending most of my days in bathrobes or David's basketball shorts and shirts.
Stretch Marks:  I see the beginnings of one where I used to have my belly button pierced.  I have been using Bio Oil at least once a day, and although I truly believe nothing prevents stretch marks, it has definitely been helping with the dry skin and itchiness...AND I love the smell!
Sleep:  Awful!  I usually get comfortable and fall into a deep sleep around 3 or 4 in the morning, but then my toddler alarm clock goes off around 7.  Luckily Gretchen spends the day with her Grandma on Monday's so I spent today sleeping in until 9:30am!  It was AWESOME!
Best moment of the week:  Getting to sleep in this morning.  Oh and yesterday was mother's day and I took an hour long bath!  It was amazing!
Miss Anything:  I have seriously been wanting to lay on my stomach lately!
Movement:  Yes!  He is a wild boy and loves to stretch.  He has also been getting lots of hiccups this week.
Cravings:  Nothing really...in fact I am not hungry most of the time which confuses me as to why I am gaining weight so fast...I guess my body just needs to do it's thing.
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Nope...just LOTS of heartburn :(
Looking forward to:  My baby shower on Saturday!  So excited to celebrate this little guy and I think things might actually start to sink in that I will have another baby in a month!

34 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  34 Weeks 3 Days
Gender:  BOY!!
Weight Gain:  +34 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Oh yea...even though I only gained a pound this last week, my hips magically grew 2 inches!!!  What the heck!
Stretch Marks:  No new ones yet...but things are getting pretty tight.
Sleep:  It hasn't been as bad this week...still not great, but I am getting up less.  Everytime I wake, I have to get up and pee so seeing as I am getting up less, I think I am sleeping better.
Best moment of the week:  Finished with my purging of all things in the house!! Woohoo!  Now all that is left is a good deep clean which I really only need to do in the kitchen because I did all of the bathrooms not that long ago!  That AND I got a massage yesterday which was pretty awesome!
Miss Anything:  Not struggling to stand up from sitting.  By the end of the day I make Dave help me up...and everytime he does I think about getting one of those fake pregnancy bellies and making him wear it around the house just for fun...anyone know where I can get one of those?
Movement:  Yes!  Like crazy.  He is passed the cute kicking stages and into the painful stretching stages lol.
Cravings:  Strawberry watermelon smoothies!  And corn on the cob.
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  A few times this past week I felt a little queasy but NOTHING compared to the first trimester.
Looking forward to:  Relaxing in a clean house :D
