Gretchen's First Step

Tonight my baby girl took her first steps without holding on to anything.  She was leaning against the couch and facing me.  I held my arms out for her and she took a step toward me before falling into my arms.  I know it was just one step but it was so special and when she did it, her face just lit up.

That's it.  I just wanted to document this so I could remember how awesome it was when Gretchen took her first steps.  I love her so much!

Boise Vacation

Back home from Boise and we already miss it.  The weather was perfect (over 100 degrees every day!) and we got to relax and spend lots of time with family.  In a pinch for time so here is our trip in pictures!

Our first plane ride with a baby was not the greatest.  We got off to a rough start and we pressed for time and almost didn't make the flight.  Gretchen was so overtired and I did not pack enough snacks/lunch (newbie mom move).  Let's just say I ended up chewing up the airplane pretzels and feeding them to her bird style.  Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Our first day in Boise we went to this really fun farm and to Roaring Springs water park.

This cow had the hots for David. He kept trying to eat his crotch.
Signature move of pulling my glasses off my face.

I even got a little me time and got my hair cut for the first time in over a year!  This was after we we found a wedding dress for Emily!

While I was getting my hair cut, Gretchen was in Daddy Bootcamp apparently.

She missed many a nap last week, but when she did get a chance to sleep she was pretty much passed out.  Can't believe how big she is getting.

We were all pretty worn out from the sun.

Like mother like daughter.
Little Miss Sassy Pants found a new love...Goldfish.  We are in the middle of a Goldfish intervention.  Something is just weird about orange poop.

The plane ride home wasn't as bad.

Goldfish fangs.
So tired she fell asleep in the car!  This hasn't happened since she was 3 months old.

Back to the grind tomorrow.  Hope y'all had a happy Hump Day!
