21 Months? When Did That Happen?

So I have a bunch of half written blogs from months ago and I keep kicking myself because the reason I keep this blog is for my kids and for me, so I can remember.  Anyways, I decided to heck with it...I am so overwhelmed with the thought of catch up that I am starting fresh today.  I am going to make a point to blog for 10-15 minutes every day during nap time and sharing what is current, and when I have any free time I will go back and post the half written blogs lol (one of them is from Gretchen's 1st birthday ALMOST a year ago!)

Okay, so Gretchen is 21 months old and I am 29 weeks pregnant!  She is at the cutest age and is growing right before my eyes.  She says so many words (her favorite is bless you - or "bess shoe" - after anyone sneezes) and her new thing is playing pretend.  She LOVES to hold and kiss her baby, sing songs to her, play patty cake, tell her to sit down (my fault - I am always telling her to do that because she is always standing on top of the table).  She is also such a climber.  Her favorite spot is on the window seal right above the couch where she can look out the window and point at the birds and go "bird...quack quack quack".

Her hair is officially long enough for pigtails and pony tails!  We went to Target today and got some clips for the little fly aways.  She can tolerate me doing her hair as long as we are in the bathroom and she is standing on her stool brushing her teeth (or trying to suck her toothpaste out of the tube).  Oh and she loves Target!  Everytime we go she is so friendly and says hi to EVERYONE we pass!

Our little girl has so much personality!  She is also in a mommy stage (which I LOVE) and needs me to cuddle her before naps and only wants me to read her books and sing her songs.  Even if I take a break between songs she will immediately go "songs? songs?".  Every day I like to push the envelope a little and climb in her crib after she wakes up from her nap just to get in some extra snuggles.  I am getting too big for that now though :(  Probably going to break the crib if I keep doing it lol.    As long as the lights are off and she has just woken up she will lay down in my arm cubby and smile at me and point to my eyes, ears, mouth, hair, etc.  Although her favorite is pinching my cheeks and trying to get her little hand in my mouth to grab my tongue.

Now that she is getting older, she is starting to look more like me. :)

I am so in love with my little family and I am so excited to have another baby boy, although it is hard to imagine my heart exploding with love yet again...not sure I will be able to handle it :)

29 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  29 weeks
Gender:  Boy.
Weight Gain:  +27 lbs.
Maternity Clothes:  Maternity yoga pants and dresses...I am so done with jeans lol.  PLUS I am at home most of the time so no need for them!
Stretch Marks:  No new ones.
Sleep:  Getting worse, but still decent.  I am being kept up a lot by the baby rolling AND having to pee a million times a night.  Other than that, as long as I have my pillows, I'm good!
Best moment of the week:  Still in nesting mode.  I kind of wish nesting lasted all the time even when I wasn't pregnant.  I feel like I have been getting a lot done!
Miss Anything:  I do miss my old clothes and I miss being able to do a good cardio workout that gets me sweating.  Already getting anxious to lose this baby weight.  My goal is to be in the best shape of my life by December!  It's going to happen!
Movement:  He is pretty chill, but there are a few times a day he loves moving - those times being 8pm and then again when I try to go to sleep whatever time that may be.
Cravings:  Blueberries, watermelon, and a really good cake with really good frosting!
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Just the usual heartburn.  Luckily I have learned from my first pregnancy that investing in the good meds and not just Tums is WORTH EVERY PENNY!  It also tends to happen mostly at night so I take a pull every day around 4 and I am pretty good for the most part.
Looking forward to:  Figuring out a name for this baby.  We still have nothing!  We would love suggestions!  We really like classic names that you don't hear anymore.

27 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  27 weeks
Gender:  Boy.
Weight Gain:  +27 lbs.
Maternity Clothes:  It's all I wear now.  I have some great maternity joggers and leggings from Old Navy and I am so obsessed with this Gap shirt that I went back and ordered one in every color!  It is so comfy!
Stretch Marks:  Just the old ones.
Sleep:  It is good as long as I have my 4 pillows:  one for my back, one for my knees, one for my head, and most importantly one to wedge under my belly.  The only hard part is getting out of bed to go to the bathroom...I kind of have to use my legs to get momentum lol.
Best moment of the week:  Today!  It is my birthday and I have really been able to relax and even sleep in a bit!  It has been awesome.
Miss Anything:  Not having all of this extra belly weight.  I forgot how taxing it gets just standing up from sitting down.
Movement:  Oh yea!  I can tell he is super long already and has the same toes as me and his sister...long ones!  I know this because I can feel them move!!!
Cravings:  Snap peas with with bleu cheese dressing.  I also have been craving watermelon strawberry smoothies but watermelons aren't quite in season yet (boooo).  When they are I will probably be consuming at least one watermelon a day lol.
Aversions:  Just cabbage.  I am convinced my house always smells like it even though everyone tells me it doesn't.
Queasy or sick:  Nope.
Looking forward to:  Date night dinner with the hubby tonight for my birthday!  Yay!  I'm even preparing by taking my heartburn medication before dinner lol.
