Ralph 4 Month Update

Weight:  15 pounds 2 ounces.

Height: About 26 inches long.

Clothing Size:  A tight 6 months...just did some online shopping and ordered 9 month clothes!  How is he growing so fast?

Eating:  Really well!  He is exclusively breastfed which is a huge accomplishment for us and is way different than my experience with Gretchen!  I feel very lucky that we have no issues...except for when he is gassy and farts on me - which is a lot!

Sleeping:  We officially unswaddled and sleep trained him a week after he turned 3 months.  With Dave gone at the police academy, bedtime was turning into a 3 hour ordeal for me...putting him to sleep, tucking in Gretchen and spending some one-on-one time reading books with her, then putting Ralph back to sleep again and again.  Now he goes to sleep on his own within 15 minutes and sleeps until anytime between 4 and 7am.  I tuck him in, read Gretchen a few books and sing some songs, and I'm done with bedtimes in less than 30 minutes now which gives me a little bit of time to relax in the evening.

Health:  Great!

Speech:  Lots of cooing and high pitched noises.  He is a noisy eater like his sister too - I guess they just really enjoy their food...probably get it from me lol.

Nicknames:  The only new ones are Ralpharooski (courtesy of Gretchen) and buddy.

Personality: He is so sweet and laid back.  He loves to smile all the time and laugh a lot.  He is very ticklish!  He also loves to cuddle and for the most part is just very calm and chill.  Polar opposite from his sister!

Baby Gear Love:  The Zipadee Zip  this is AMAZING and has helped a lot with transitioning him out of a swaddle.  I saw it on Shark Tank and had to get it and so glad I did!!!  It is very soothing for him and he can roll over in it too.

Milestones:  He can roll back to belly!  Then he gets upset that he is on his belly and can't get back and I have to flip him over.  This is especially annoying when he does this when he is falling asleep and I have to flip him back over a bunch lol.  Any day now I'm sure he will be able to get from belly to back.

Likes:  He really likes to watch his sister play and he loves playing with people.  I'd also go out on a limb to say he like farting because he is really gassy and always smiles and sometimes laughs when he does it.  Haha.

Dislikes:  He doesn't like being hungry and hates getting out of the bathtub!  Those are basically the only times he ever cries.

Things I Don't Want To Forget:

Baby cousins!

He is quite the cuddle bug!  He loves to be held!

He looks like his momma!

Getting better at tummy time!

His hair!!! Every time we go anywhere, I always get at least 10 comments..."did you see that baby's hair?"  It's the best!

He is SO smiley!  All the time!  Just a super easy going baby!

Gretchen loves her brother so much!

These chunky little legs!
