40 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2
How far along:  40 Weeks 3 Days #4thTrimesterBaby
Gender:  Baby boy!
Weight Gain:  +42 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  I guess you could say that...cycling through the same 2 shirts and 2 pairs of sweatpants until the end lol.
Stretch Marks:  I have 2 new ones that are really small...one looks like a horseshoe (or hot dog stick according to my husband) and the other is just a small continuation from an old one.
Sleep:  Depends on the night.  Usually around 2-3am I get super comfortable and baby boy settles into a good position so we can sleep for a few hours.
Best moment of the week:  Passing my due date - oh wait that was probably the worst lol.  Best would be coming to terms with being over ue.
Miss Anything:  Fitting into my maternity clothes hahahaha.
Movement:  Definitely.  Although he is definitely running out of space.  No painful movements either.  Gretchen used to jab me all the time, he just likes to stretch out.
Cravings:  Fresh veggies and salad.  Also Coconut Kenny's has this AMAZING Bora Bora pizza which is chicken, BBQ sauce, pineapple, and red onion.  I have been seriously craving that.
Aversions:  Not necessarily an aversion, but I don't ever want sweet foods.
Queasy or sick:  Nope.
Looking forward to:  Having this baby!!  Praying for a spontaneous labor!

39 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2
How far along:  39 Weeks 3 Days
Gender:  Baby boy!
Weight Gain:  +40 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  No...husband's clothes lol.  My maternity shirts are practically all belly shirts.  I am in dresses and Dave's basketball shorts till the end!
Stretch Marks:  I have a few new small ones that just look like continuations from old ones.
Sleep: HORRIBLE!  I have been getting like 3 hours a night and peeing a million times.  Last night I did get 8 hours though!
Best moment of the week:  I have been watching a lot of birthing videos lately and just bawling my eyes out...it has finally hit me that I am going to have a tiny little human that I love as much as G!  I am so excited to meet him.
Miss Anything:  Laying on my stomach.  Not constantly sweating.  Not having heartburn.
Movement:  Yep...he is moving down so not too much in my ribs anymore thankfully!
Cravings:  Fresh veggies.  I craved these towards the end with Gretchen too.
Aversions:  None really.
Queasy or sick:  Not too bad.  Sometimes I feel a little sick but nothing compared to the first trimester.
Looking forward to:  D-DAY!

38 (And 37 Week) Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.

How far along:  38 weeks 1 day
Gender:  Boy!
Weight Gain:  +40 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Getting small.  Basically living in Dave's shirts, yoga pants, and Dave's basketball shorts.  No need to go anywhere that I need to dress up AND if I do...then a dress it is!
Stretch Marks:  I have a few new tiny ones.  They are a little less than an inch and part of old ones and my belly button where I used to have it pierced is stretching out and hurts pretty bad.
Sleep:  Something that never happened with G - his head is so lodged in my pelvis that flipping over at night hurts really really bad.  If I want to flip over in bed then I have to sit up first...and if I sit up then I have to go to the bathroom.  Definitely sleeping less and less every night.
Best moment of the week:  Non-pregnancy related...we had Gretchen's 2nd birthday party today!  She had a blast.  I can't believe how big she is.
Miss Anything:  Being able to lay on my belly and being able to easily stand up from sitting down.
Movement:  Definitely.  He for sure already has a sleep/wake schedule.  His moving is really big stretches.  I can tell he is long too because depending how I am sitting I always feel his feet up in my ribs and I know his head is super low.
Cravings:  Caramel popcorn.
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Yes!  Another thing that didn't happen in my first pregnancy...I have definitely been nauseous.
Looking forward to:  All of our big events (baby shower & birthday party) are over...the house is super duper clean and organized which means all I have to do until baby gets here is RELAX!  BUT because that is all I have left...I'm sure I will go into labor right after I post this lol.

36 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  36 Weeks 2 Days
Gender:  Boy!
Weight Gain:  +37 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Yes!  I can't wait to be able to fit in my old clothes again.  It seriously seems like forever since I have been able to wear them and even looking at them makes me wonder how I ever fit into them lol.
Stretch Marks:  My current ones look like they are getting more red, but sometimes they still look white.  Not sure what is going on.  I have a tiny one where my belly button was pierced.  Wondering if I will get anymore this time...I still have a month left though so probably.
Sleep:  It has sucked.  I am having a harder and harder time rolling over and I am at a point where every time I wake up I have the internal debate of whether or not I should get up to pee or try to hold it for longer because getting up would take too much energy.
Best moment of the week:  Had a baby sprinkle this morning!  It was so much fun!!
Miss Anything:  Not having heartburn every second of the day.  Definitely managing it better though this pregnancy.  I know I need to take a heartburn pill around 3 every day.  Hahaha.
Movement:  Getting more painful as things get more cramped.  I definitely think he is starting to have a sleep/wake schedule.  Debating if I should try to change my schedule and get up in the middle of the night to put him to sleep haha...he seems most active at 3am...can't wait to see what fun that will bring.
Cravings:  Wonton soup!!!
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Nope.
Looking forward to:  Relaxing these next couple of weeks now that I FINALLY have all of my deep cleaning done :D

35 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  35 weeks 4 days
Gender:  Boy!
Weight Gain:  +36 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Funny thing about maternity clothes...they only fit the first 8 months of pregnancy.  Lol.  Spending most of my days in bathrobes or David's basketball shorts and shirts.
Stretch Marks:  I see the beginnings of one where I used to have my belly button pierced.  I have been using Bio Oil at least once a day, and although I truly believe nothing prevents stretch marks, it has definitely been helping with the dry skin and itchiness...AND I love the smell!
Sleep:  Awful!  I usually get comfortable and fall into a deep sleep around 3 or 4 in the morning, but then my toddler alarm clock goes off around 7.  Luckily Gretchen spends the day with her Grandma on Monday's so I spent today sleeping in until 9:30am!  It was AWESOME!
Best moment of the week:  Getting to sleep in this morning.  Oh and yesterday was mother's day and I took an hour long bath!  It was amazing!
Miss Anything:  I have seriously been wanting to lay on my stomach lately!
Movement:  Yes!  He is a wild boy and loves to stretch.  He has also been getting lots of hiccups this week.
Cravings:  Nothing really...in fact I am not hungry most of the time which confuses me as to why I am gaining weight so fast...I guess my body just needs to do it's thing.
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Nope...just LOTS of heartburn :(
Looking forward to:  My baby shower on Saturday!  So excited to celebrate this little guy and I think things might actually start to sink in that I will have another baby in a month!

34 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  34 Weeks 3 Days
Gender:  BOY!!
Weight Gain:  +34 pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Oh yea...even though I only gained a pound this last week, my hips magically grew 2 inches!!!  What the heck!
Stretch Marks:  No new ones yet...but things are getting pretty tight.
Sleep:  It hasn't been as bad this week...still not great, but I am getting up less.  Everytime I wake, I have to get up and pee so seeing as I am getting up less, I think I am sleeping better.
Best moment of the week:  Finished with my purging of all things in the house!! Woohoo!  Now all that is left is a good deep clean which I really only need to do in the kitchen because I did all of the bathrooms not that long ago!  That AND I got a massage yesterday which was pretty awesome!
Miss Anything:  Not struggling to stand up from sitting.  By the end of the day I make Dave help me up...and everytime he does I think about getting one of those fake pregnancy bellies and making him wear it around the house just for fun...anyone know where I can get one of those?
Movement:  Yes!  Like crazy.  He is passed the cute kicking stages and into the painful stretching stages lol.
Cravings:  Strawberry watermelon smoothies!  And corn on the cob.
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  A few times this past week I felt a little queasy but NOTHING compared to the first trimester.
Looking forward to:  Relaxing in a clean house :D

33 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  33 Weeks 3 Days
Gender:  BOY!!
Weight Gain:  +33 pounds...a pound for every week :D
Maternity Clothes:  None of my old clothes fit anymore so yes!  Exclusively.
Stretch Marks:  No new ones.
Sleep:  Awful!  He has been moving so much between 10pm-2am that I have only been sleeping in 10 minute increments.  Then I finally fall asleep around 2:30 or 3 and only get a few hours of sleep.  It sucks.
Best moment of the week:  Making HUGE progress in a lot of our projects.  Basically all I have left in the kids room is hanging things on the walls and transitioning Gretchen to her big bed.
Miss Anything:  SLEEP!  But I know it is going to be a while before I get to do that again...
Movement:  Oh yea!  He is super strong.  I would say he moves a little less than Gretchen did, but when he does move, they are BIG and it looks like I have an alien in my belly.
Cravings:  Anything grilled...mainly cheeseburgers and corn on the cob.  Oh and strawberry lemonade!
Aversions:  Nope.
Queasy or sick:  This week I have felt like I was going to throw up a few times because my heartburn was so bad.
Looking forward to:  Being all done with project and just relaxing the last month!  That's the plan anyway.  I would say that all of my nesting projects are about 90% done!  Woohoo!

31 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  31 weeks
Gender:  Baby BOY!
Weight Gain:  +30 Pounds
Maternity Clothes:  Yep!  Sticking with dresses and yoga pants.  The weather has been super HOT around here (well hot for WA) so I need to get some shorts!
Stretch Marks:  Not any new ones.  My belly seems WAY smaller this time around.
Sleep:  So Gretchen spent the night with her grandparents last night which meant I didn't have the monitor or her sound machine one...funny thing...I couldn't sleep!  So at 2am I went and turned on her sound machine so I could hear it and slept like a baby the rest of the night.
Best moment of the week:  All week!  It has been super sunny and we have gotten outside a lot.  I also picked up some super cute boy onesies at Fred Meyer for 50% off!  #winning
Miss Anything:  Not feeling like a trainwreck at the end of the day.  By the time Gretchen goes to bed, it takes serious effort to get up off the couch.  I am just so exhausted and my body feels weak!  Must be from how active I have been during the days since I get in a workout or walk and spend a lot of time carrying a 30 pounder around!
Movement:  Yep!  And painful kicks too.  Last time the painful kicks didn't start until 36 weeks or so.  I get the feeling I am going to have a looooong 3rd trimester ahead of me.
Cravings:  Fresh salads and watermelon.  I seriously can't wait until watermelon season arrives!
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Just when I go too long between meals.
Looking forward to:  Again, getting everything organized.  Full nesting mode has kicked in...the only problem is I don't have a lot of time!

30 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  30 weeks
Gender:  Boy.
Weight Gain:  +28 lbs.
Maternity Clothes:  Lazy this week so mainly pajama pants rolled under the belly or maternity yoga pants!  I tried wearing a few of my regular shirts, but they are waaaaay to tight and ride up my belly so maternity shirts for the next 10 weeks it is!
Stretch Marks:  No new ones.  Although it looks like some of my old ones are getting pinker but I am not sure...
Sleep:  Ugh...well I have to pee like 5 times a night and I am usually so exhausted that I just get mad every time I wake up and have to roll myself out of bed.
Best moment of the week:  The weather has been so nice so finally getting outside to enjoy some walks instead of going to the gym and walking on the treadmill!
Miss Anything:  I am missing my old body...not having to pee a bajillion times a day, not getting kicked in the ribs...oh and I really miss laying on my belly!
Movement:  Yea he has gone from chill to crazy baby lol.  He really likes to kick down low...like super low...like so low I'm afraid he is going to kick his way out...it feels weird!  Gretchen was never that low.
Cravings:  Watermelon and nice ice (you know the ice they have at Sonic!)
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Nope.
Looking forward to:  Getting his room together!  He is going to share a room with Gretchen and I have gathered some stuff, but I need to finish my spring cleaning and selling a few things on Craigslist first.

29 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  29 weeks
Gender:  Boy.
Weight Gain:  +27 lbs.
Maternity Clothes:  Maternity yoga pants and dresses...I am so done with jeans lol.  PLUS I am at home most of the time so no need for them!
Stretch Marks:  No new ones.
Sleep:  Getting worse, but still decent.  I am being kept up a lot by the baby rolling AND having to pee a million times a night.  Other than that, as long as I have my pillows, I'm good!
Best moment of the week:  Still in nesting mode.  I kind of wish nesting lasted all the time even when I wasn't pregnant.  I feel like I have been getting a lot done!
Miss Anything:  I do miss my old clothes and I miss being able to do a good cardio workout that gets me sweating.  Already getting anxious to lose this baby weight.  My goal is to be in the best shape of my life by December!  It's going to happen!
Movement:  He is pretty chill, but there are a few times a day he loves moving - those times being 8pm and then again when I try to go to sleep whatever time that may be.
Cravings:  Blueberries, watermelon, and a really good cake with really good frosting!
Aversions:  None.
Queasy or sick:  Just the usual heartburn.  Luckily I have learned from my first pregnancy that investing in the good meds and not just Tums is WORTH EVERY PENNY!  It also tends to happen mostly at night so I take a pull every day around 4 and I am pretty good for the most part.
Looking forward to:  Figuring out a name for this baby.  We still have nothing!  We would love suggestions!  We really like classic names that you don't hear anymore.

27 Week Bumpdate

Pregnancy:  Number 2.
How far along:  27 weeks
Gender:  Boy.
Weight Gain:  +27 lbs.
Maternity Clothes:  It's all I wear now.  I have some great maternity joggers and leggings from Old Navy and I am so obsessed with this Gap shirt that I went back and ordered one in every color!  It is so comfy!
Stretch Marks:  Just the old ones.
Sleep:  It is good as long as I have my 4 pillows:  one for my back, one for my knees, one for my head, and most importantly one to wedge under my belly.  The only hard part is getting out of bed to go to the bathroom...I kind of have to use my legs to get momentum lol.
Best moment of the week:  Today!  It is my birthday and I have really been able to relax and even sleep in a bit!  It has been awesome.
Miss Anything:  Not having all of this extra belly weight.  I forgot how taxing it gets just standing up from sitting down.
Movement:  Oh yea!  I can tell he is super long already and has the same toes as me and his sister...long ones!  I know this because I can feel them move!!!
Cravings:  Snap peas with with bleu cheese dressing.  I also have been craving watermelon strawberry smoothies but watermelons aren't quite in season yet (boooo).  When they are I will probably be consuming at least one watermelon a day lol.
Aversions:  Just cabbage.  I am convinced my house always smells like it even though everyone tells me it doesn't.
Queasy or sick:  Nope.
Looking forward to:  Date night dinner with the hubby tonight for my birthday!  Yay!  I'm even preparing by taking my heartburn medication before dinner lol.
